Join us to discover Cambodian food
Phnom Penh Spice was founded by a brother and sister who are passionate about sharing the techniques of cooking Khmer food. It's not just about cooking — you'll gain a deeper understanding of Cambodian flavors, food culture, and the origins of these traditional dishes.

What we cook
Starter: For the starter, you'll prepare Cambodian-style BBQ, which uses a variety of spices to create bold flavors and rich aromas.
Main Course: You'll cook Amok, a traditional Cambodian dish that’s similar to curry—but it’s not curry! You can choose between chicken, fish, tofu, or a vegetarian option. The dish will be served and steamed in a coconut.
Dessert: You'll make a classic Cambodian sweet featuring banana, enriched with the creamy taste of coconut milk and the natural sweetness of palm sugar.

Learn to use spices
In Cambodian cuisine, flavor begins with the country’s rich soil and tropical climate. A wide variety of aromatic spices—like turmeric, lemongrass, and galangal—grow in abundance. Unlike many cuisines that rely on dried or powdered spices, Cambodian cooking celebrates freshness. Spices are used in their natural form, giving every dish a vibrant, deep, and authentic taste.
